It is a common practice to pass legislation that is consumer friendly in order to gain votes, but then not approve the funding to enforce it. There is evidence in the book The Waste Makers (which was written back in 1960) that this controlling of information goes way back. I don&#039;t see how much has changed.</description>

		<description>Is there not a law that ensures that original equipment manufacturers must provide service information (manuals) to 3rd party service organizations so end-users/consumers have the option to decide who will service or repair their purchases cars/systems/instruments, etc.???</description>
